Step 1: Segregation at source

Everything begins with two bins — wet and dry. Our team conducts awareness sessions for residents and housekeeping staff, provides colour-coded bins and signage, and makes sure every flat knows what goes where. Within weeks, segregation becomes a habit.

Step 2: Scheduled scrap collection

Dry waste is collected on fixed days by KabaadX's pickup teams. Newspapers, cardboard, plastic, metal and glass are weighed digitally at the society gate, and the society earns money for material it once paid to throw away.

Step 3: Composting wet waste

Kitchen waste is composted within the society premises or sent to a composting partner. The compost nourishes the society's gardens — closing the loop beautifully.

Step 4: Tracking and recognition

Societies get a monthly waste diversion report — how many kilograms were recycled and how much carbon was saved. Top-performing societies receive zero-waste certification and are featured in our green community network.

The results

Societies in the programme routinely divert 80–95% of their waste from landfill. Maintenance costs drop, the compound stays cleaner, and residents — especially children — learn habits that last a lifetime.
